AMN Healthcare CEO Elected to McKesson Corporation Board of Directors

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AMN Healthcare Services, Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the innovator in healthcare workforce solutions and nation's leader in healthcare staffing services, announced that Susan Salka, AMN President, Chief Executive Officer and Director, has been elected to the McKesson Board of Directors.

The appointment, effective Oct. 20, 2014, will make Ms. Salka a new independent director to the 11-member board. She will also be a member of McKesson's Audit and Governance committees.

Ms. Salka, who has been a driving force behind AMN's success since joining the company in 1990, has been President and CEO of AMN since 2003 and 2005, respectively. She had served as the Chief Operating Officer of AMN from 2000 to 2005. Formerly on the boards of Beckman Coulter Inc., Playtex Products, University of California San Diego's Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center and the BIOCOM Institute, Ms. Salka brings an extensive leadership background in the increasingly important healthcare staffing and workforce solutions sector to her latest director role.
