AMP Electric Equinox to Drive in Washington, DC Motorcade to White House - Will Speak on Electric Drive Technologies at 2011 EDTA Conference

(OTCBB andOTCQB: AMPD), a company engaged in the emission-free electrification of OEM vehicles, today announced it will drive its AMP Electric Equinox in the EDTA Innovation Motorcade in Washington, DC on April 19, 2011. AMP visits on Capitol Hill, to the Department of Energy, and the White House will send a message that the electric car is here, and that America has taken a leadership role in moving into the future.

The EDTA 2011 Conference will take place in DC from April 19th through the 21st, with opening speaker, the Honorable Ray LaHood, Secretary of Transportation. The conference will bring important developments in electric transportation to the forefront. To that end, Jim Taylor, AMP CEO has accepted a speaker role on current and future electric drive technologies.

The AMP Equinox features a lithium battery system, powered by two rear mounted traction motors, by Remy International, Inc. The vehicle can be charged from household 110v or 220v outlets, just as other popular electric vehicles like the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf.
