
AMTA-Colorado Partnering with Chanda Plan Foundation During National Massage Therapy Awareness Week®
LITTLETON, Colo., Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Colorado Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), a non-profit organization representing more than 1,500 Colorado-state registered massage therapists, is partnering with The Chanda Plan Foundation and "Giving Wellness A Way" during AMTA's 15th Annual National Massage Therapy Awareness Week® (NMTAW), Oct. 23-29, 2011. AMTA members will celebrate NMTAW to attract attention to the benefits of massage, and the exceptional members who provide this valuable, therapeutic service. October is also National Disabilities Awareness Month.
This inaugural "Giving Wellness A Way" event will kick off with two screenings of the award-winning film documentary 9000 needles www.9000needles.com, a story of hope, courage and one family's unconventional journal towards stroke recovery.
