Amy Falbaum, Experienced Executive in Restaurant Management Launches Executive Search Firm for Hospitality Industry
NEW YORK, Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Amy Falbaum, who has extensive experience in restaurant management, including supervising the kitchen at the historic '21' Club, has launched her own executive search firm for the hospitality industry---restaurants, hotels---and related businesses.
Falbaum's new company, Amy Falbaum & Associates (AF&A)---"We Search. We Find. We Place."---will search for executives for restaurants, hotels and related businesses not just in New York but in other parts of the country and the world.
After about 15 years in restaurant management, she worked five years for the search firm, The Alfus Group, recruiting and assisting some of the most prestigious companies in the New York area and in other states.
Among the clients she conducted searches for include: China Grill Management, Danny Meyer, of Union Square Hospitality Group, David Burke Restaurants, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, of Culinary Concepts, T. Boone Pickens, of BP Capital, Mesa Vista Ranch, and the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group.
Besides managing the kitchen at the '21' Club for eight years, she held other top management positions for such well-known establishments as Sarabeth's; the elegant American Renaissance restaurant where, ultimately, she was the general manager; and Gramercy Tavern where she was a manager. At one point in her career, she helped the Unique Restaurant Corporation open three new restaurants in Celebration, Florida.
Falbaum holds a bachelor of arts degree in theater, with a minor in communications, from Hunter College. In addition, she graduated with a degree in occupational studies from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and also attended Michigan State University.
