DALLAS, June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amy Elizabeth Stewart, of Dallas' Amy Stewart P.C., has been named to D Magazine's annual list of Dallas' Best Lawyers. She was selected in the Insurance Law category.
To compile the list of the city's 377 best lawyers, D Magazine accepted nominations from licensed Texas lawyers who had firsthand knowledge of the nominee's work. The magazine's editors then met with a blue-ribbon panel of eminent lawyers to compile the final list.
"I'm honored by this recognition and happy to be in such distinguished company," says Ms. Stewart. "The other insurance lawyers named to the list, many of whom have been my opponents, are some of the best in the business."
Ms. Stewart's other honors include being named one of the Top 25 Women in Business 2011 by the Dallas Business Journal; receiving an AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®; selected to the 2011 Texas Super Lawyers® list of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Texas by Thomson Reuters; selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in the area of insurance coverage by Thomson Reuters from 2009 to 2011; recognized as a Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters in insurance coverage, business litigation and construction litigation in 2007; named a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation; and selected for inclusion in Martindale-Hubbell®'s Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers for 2012.

She regularly represents clients in disputes involving the existence and scope of coverage, violations of state insurance regulations and consumer protection statutes, bad faith, and claim resolution.
