A state-of-the-art HVAC system based on Climaveneta INTEGRA units in Botswana.

DeLclima, through its subsidiary Climaveneta, has just supplied air conditioning units to the Innovation Hub under construction in Botswana for a total order value of 550,000 €.

The Botswana Innovation Hub is located strategically on a 57 hectares site, near the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana and the centre of the country's business activity. The facility will provide an attractive location for technology driven and knowledge intensive business to develop and compete in the global market. The focal point of the Hub will be to provide state-of-the art facilities to attract domestic, regional and global companies to locate business, research and developmental activities within the Park, and promote technology based innovation and entrepreneurship. The facility includes a HIV Research Lab run by the Ministry of Health in partnership with Baylor, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a data center and engineering floors.

The building has been designed to save energy and be as efficient as possible. The roof design of the Botswana Innovation Hub incorporates large overhangs to passively shade the building's interior volume, mechanisms to collect and re-use water, and both passive and active photovoltaic systems to harness solar energy.

The air conditioning system is based on 3 INTEGRA multipurpose ERACS2-Q XL-CA 2722 and 1 high efficiency air cooled chiller i-FX (1+i) CA 2722 , all supplied by Climaveneta. The HVAC system will be managed and optimized by ClimaPRO, the new Climaveneta system manager that actively optimizes the entire chiller plant by managing and adjusting each component directly involved in the production.
