ANADIGICS Appoints Tim Laverick as Vice President, Infrastructure Products and Robert Bayruns as Chief Technology Officer

(Nasdaq: ANAD), a world leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, today announced that Tim Laverick has joined the Company as vice president, infrastructure products, and Robert Bayruns has been appointed vice president and chief technology officer. Laverick is a business and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in the RF and Microwave semiconductor industry and Bayruns has over 30 years of leadership and engineering experience.

Laverick brings a strong general management background, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing. Starting his career as a circuit designer, Laverick held various engineering and management roles, eventually serving as the general manager of the fiber optic product segment at ANADIGICS, as well as vice president of design technology.  He has authored numerous technical articles for trade journals and publications and holds three U.S. patents.  Laverick earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and has completed graduate and executive courses at both Rutgers University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to his recent tenure at ANADIGICS, Bayruns was vice president of engineering and product development at Jacket Micro Devices. He has held the position of vice president of engineering and product development at Mobilian, TROPIAN, and Wj Communications. Bayruns played an instrumental role during the ANADIGICS start-up in 1985, where he led the development of the industry's first GaAs MMIC PA to go into volume production in a cell phone. He has extensive experience in Si and GaAs circuits, systems, and device technologies, has authored over 20 technical articles for trade journals and publications, and holds 20 U.S. patents. Additionally, he was involved in the IEEE MTTS and ISSCC technical conference where had been chairman of the ISSCC communications and wireless committees for a number of years. Bayruns earned an M.S.E.E. from Rutgers University specializing in integrated circuits and semiconductor device physics.
