Service has always been very important to D'Ette. Prior to her Real Estate career she worked as a jazz singer, a missionary for her church, in property management as well as the restaurant and bar industry.

She came from a history of service-oriented occupations; therefore, working with Military families was a natural transition for her. "I appreciate the commitment that the Military members provide," she says. "I have a sense of indebtedness to them and the goal of my team is to anticipate all of their needs – not just their Real Estate needs. We want to assist them in all aspects of life - not just relocation - but to help them slide into the community of Anchorage and all that it entails."

The Military facility in Anchorage is Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), which is an amalgamation of Elmendorf Air Force Base and Fort Richardson, which merged in 2010. JBER supports over 45,000 Active, Reserve, Guard, Retired, Civilian, and their families.
