CHICAGO, June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The WunderLand Group (www.wunderlandgroup.com), a recruiting and staffing firm, was voted Best Service Provider to the tech community during the first annual Moxie Awards, which took place June 21, 2012 at the Park West Theater in Chicago. NBC5 news taped the ceremony and a short video of WunderLand receiving their award can be found here.
Over 70,000 votes were cast, and 800 attendees cheered Mayor Rahm Emanuel as he opened the event saying, "Chicago will be a partner, not a problem," in stimulating the city's emergent tech scene. "I want [the city] to be known as the most friendly for startup companies to build, succeed and start companies. I want this to be the digital capital of the country."
The venue was filled with an eclectic mix of venture capitalists (like J.B. Pritzker of New World Ventures), student entrepreneurs (such as Moxie Award winner GrooveBug), tech industry veterans (like Matt Moog of Viewpoints), and representatives of all the nominated companies. The list of all winners can be found here.
