The 2013 Kentucky Derby Red Blend is a limited edition wine, commemorating the 142nd annual Kentucky Derby and the winery's continued partnership with the "Run for the Roses,"™ four years running. Similar to the previous vintage, this sophisticated wine offers a harmony of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to provide a flavorful wine experience that showcases juicy Washington fruit character. The image featured on the front label is American Pharaoh and jockey Victor Espinoza, the winners of the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby and the 2015 "Triple Crown."
The 2014 Stampede Red Blend joins a successful family of red blends from the winery, including the perennial fan-favorite Hot to Trot Red Blend and the Kentucky Derby Red Blend. Stampede offers a lively combination of Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mourvèdre to provide a rich, flavorful wine experience. This full-bodied red blend features the aromas and flavors of spice, cedar, cola and cherry, with a lively acidity and a dramatic enduring finish.
"Stampede is the perfect continuation of our great tradition of red blends," said 14 Hands winemaker Keith Kenison. "It is soft, approachable and shows loads of fruit.
