Angels of America's Fallen Selected as First Allied's 2015 Spotlight Charity

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Angels of America's Fallen (AOAFallen), the rising non-profit that supports the children of America's fallen first responders and military service members, has been selected as the 2015 spotlight charity by First Allied Securities, Inc. First Allied will spend the year working with its employees and affiliated financial advisors to raise money to support AOAFallen's mission of providing healthy developmental opportunities for children of America's fallen heroes.

Angels of America's Fallen covers the child's costs of participation in healthy activities with a coach or instructor who can help mentor them. The children pick their desired activity like karate, soccer, football, music, art, dance, etc., and the organization pays the provider of the activity directly so the family doesn't have to seek reimbursement. AOAFallen supports 200 children at this time, but there are more than 150 deserving children on a waiting list. Since Sept. 11, 2001, more than 16,000 children have lost a military parent.
