Annual Little League Intermediate World Series Opens Its 3rd Year On Sunday, August 2nd
Little League Festivities Begin on Saturday, August 1st with a Parade Through Downtown Livermore; First Game starts on Sunday, August 2nd at 9:00 AM PDT
LIVERMORE, Calif., July 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Annual Little League Intermediate World Series is the 9th Little League World Series and first in the baseball-rich state of California. The Little League Intermediate World Series (LLIWS) will be returning to Livermore, CA in 2015 for its third year, and will be played from August 2nd – August 8th.
The Intermediate Division began as a two-year pilot program, before becoming an official division in 2012. Players ages 11-13 are eligible to play in this Intermediate baseball league, which features a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot bases, also known as "50/70".
WHEN:
August 2nd through August 8th, 2015
- Downtown Livermore Parade – Saturday, August 1st at 6:00 PM PDT
- Games start 9:00 AM on August 2nd and run through August 8th at 6 PM PDT.
- International and US Championship games are on Friday, August 7th at TBD.
- Championship Game being held on Saturday, August 8thh at 6:00 PM PDT; the game will broadcast live on ESPN.
