CLEWISTON, Fla., Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hundreds of farmers, equipment dealers, exporters, growers, distributors, packers and others from throughout the United States will descend on Hendry County, Fla., for one of the Southeast's biggest agriculture events of the year: Weeks Auction Company's 19th Annual Sugarland Auction.
The Feb. 21-22 event is expected to be even bigger than the 2013 event, which resulted in the sale of hundreds of tractors, excavators, trucks, wheel loaders, loader backhoes and other equipment, according to Weeks Auction's Bill Catsulis.
"This event just gets bigger every year, with surplus equipment from United States Sugar Corporation and hundreds of other consigners, including farmers and dealers from throughout the area. We have a very large selection of farm tractors, construction equipment, trucks, cars and all types of farm equipment," said Catsulis. "Local hotels are usually sold out, so we're encouraging people to go ahead and get their reservations made."
"The annual Sugarland Auction has become widely recognized as the premier event of the year for late-model tractors and other equipment from John Deere and every other major manufacturer. We'll start at 9 a.m. both mornings and continue all day," he said.
