Nov 03, 2015, 16:52 ET from China Trade Task Force

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In the last twenty four hours, another 1,500 American jobs have been lost as a result of China's manipulation of global aluminum prices.

As communist China continues to provide illegal subsidies to its state owned aluminum producers, two aluminum smelters in Washington state and another smelter in upstate New York are been forced to close. Another 1,500 hard-working American families are feeling the pain as a result of China's cheating and this is just the start.

China Trade Task Force is committed to shining a spotlight on the families and communities facing ruin as a result of China's job hacking. The American government is doing nothing to stop China's manipulation of the global aluminum market and the destructive impact it is having on thousands of American families.

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) remarked the "news is a tough blow for many hard-working Washingtonians and communities like Ferndale and Wenatchee where Alcoa employs hundreds of men and women."

China Trade Task Force Executive Director Will Dempster said, "Once again another 1,500 American families are losing their jobs as a result of China's job hacking. Three more American smelters are closing and soon we will have no American smelters left. The U.S. Trade Representative, Members of Congress and the American people should stand up to China and stop them from destroying the lives of thousands of American aluminum workers. If we do nothing, another American industry will be destroyed as a result of China's job hacking."
