Antel Communications Names Saeed Saatchi as First Chief Operating Officer

SETAUKET, N.Y., Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Saeed Saatchi, a veteran telecommunications executive with more than 30 years experience, has been appointed as the first chief operating officer for Antel Communications.

Mr. Saatchi will oversee company operations and lead new business development. Antel Communications (www.antel.us) is a provider of high quality mobile devices and solutions for the wireless market. The company, headquartered on Long Island, New York, was founded in September 2013.

Prior to joining Antel Communications, Mr. Saatchi held the role of senior director of content and services at Samsung Telecommunications where he was responsible for device application and services and go-to-market strategy. Previously, he served for six years as executive director of device marketing at Verizon Wireless where he managed the Verizon Wireless retail device portfolio and strategy.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Saatchi spent eight years at Motorola where he was responsible for design and development of multiple mobile devices for the global market.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago as well as a Master of Science in computer science from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
