
Anthony Niedwiecki Joins The John Marshall Law School as Director of Lawyering Skills Program
CHICAGO, June 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The John Marshall Law School in Chicago welcomed Anthony Niedwiecki as director of the Lawyering Skills Program. Niedwiecki previously was an associate professor and director of the Lawyering Skills and Values Program at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and vice mayor of Oakland Park, Fla.
During the fall semester, Niedwiecki will teach a section of Lawyering Skills, and later will teach other courses in addition to directing the Lawyering Skills Program.

The John Marshall Law School's Legal Writing Program recently was ranked sixth by U.S. News and World Report's "Best Law Schools 2011" issue.

Niedwiecki received his BA from Wayne State University, his JD from Tulane University Law School, and an LLM from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Before becoming a law professor, he was a commercial litigation lawyer with Mayer Brown's Houston, Texas, office and a labor and employment attorney with Gardere & Wynne in Dallas. Niedwiecki was a lecturer and later an assistant professor at Temple University. He also taught at Arizona State University before joining the faculty at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center.
Niedwiecki is on the board of directors of the Association of Legal Writing Directors, and is a member of the Society of American Law Teachers; the Legal Writing Institute; and the Sexual Orientation and Gender Section, and Employment Law Section of the Texas Bar Association. He also is vice president of Fight OUT Loud, a national organization dedicated to providing immediate resources, support, education, and assistance for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals facing discrimination.
