Anthony Tahmazian Returns to Varsity Basketball for the 2013-2014 Season

GLENDALE, Calif., Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Glendale High School, the home of the Dynamiters, has announced the 2013-2014 basketball season is here. The Varsity team will include some of the big scorers from last year, including Anthony Tahmazian.

Anthony Tahmazian returns this year as a Junior, adorning his traditional #21 black and red jersey. This 6'1, Varsity team member has been a highlight to the Glendale team since the start. With an overall record of 7-19, Tahmazian is excited to start the new season and see what he and his teammates can do with their records.

"Coming in as a Junior this year I'm more prepared than ever," states Tahmazian. "I think the entire Varsity team has been preparing for this new season and we're all excited to see what we can do against some of our biggest rivals."

Tahmazian currently holds a California rank of 567 and a national rank of 8539. This year he hopes to increase his stats and his state and national rankings, alongside his teammates. The first game of the 2013-2014 season starts January 7^th with the Dynamiters playing against Crescenta Valley High School in an away game. Get to the courts by 5:00pm to catch the action.

The entire 2013-2014 schedule is posted on the Glendale High School sports page for those who don't want to miss the hoop actions this season. Coach Steve Snodgrass encourages everyone to get down and support their team, especially at the home games. The first home game is scheduled for Monday, January 13^th against Pasadena High School. Glendale High School Athletics is known for having a large legacy of success in all sports, including a few high school and state record holders.
