Antimicrobial Wipe Kleenhanz Suggested for Holiday Travel Infection Control

SAN ANTONIO, June 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This Fourth of July weekend will put millions of American travelers in contact with infectious agents including germs, bacteria, and viruses in high-contact areas, such as public toilets, gas pumps, and door handles.  In fact, AAA estimates that 39 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home, by road or air this weekend.  Infection control experts are on high alert.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that clean hands are the best defense against spreading illness and that hand sanitizing gels are limited in their effectiveness.
