DENVER, April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) has announced its recent appointment of Richard L. Wohl as director of publishing. A 30-year veteran in the publishing industry, Wohl will lead the association's publishing, editorial operations, new publication development and oversee the Library Services department. He reports to Karen Kemerling, PhD, vice president/chief information officer.

His expertise in content and product development across multiple formats and platforms will support the association's ability to adapt quickly to our customers' need for resource access," said Kemerling. Wohl is founder and CEO of Wohl Publishing, Inc., an educational publisher, with print and electronic products in both college and K-12 markets. Previously, he was executive vice president of publishing for Wolters Kluwer/Lippincottt Williams and Wilkins. Wohl earned his MBA from The Ohio State University, his MFA from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his BA from The State University of New York at Binghamton.
