Open Sesame does not connect to the Internet, which means people can operate their garage door via bluetooth alone. Additionally, a single smartphone can be paired with multiple bluetooth devices, which comes in handy for those who have a multi-door garage. A CR2450 Lithium 3v battery that powers each device lasts for 1-2 years depending on the usage pattern.
Speaking about the other benefits of Open Sesame, co-founder Ali Ozgun said, "Our technology negates carrying remotes and bulky items in your hands and pockets forever.
