(CFS), a full-service broker dealer and SEC Registered Investment Adviser that provides customized investment and insurance solutions to credit unions, announces Apple Federal Credit Union (Apple FCU) has moved its investment and wealth management program to CFS. Founded in 1956 to serve the education community, Apple FCU is one of the largest credit unions in the country with 21 branches throughout Northern Virginia. The credit union serves 158,000 members and has $1.7 Billion in assets under management. Its investment department, the wholly owned subsidiary Apple Financial Services, LLC, has three financial advisors and a sales assistant lead by Vice President and Program Manager George Dusek. Under the leadership of Dusek and CFS Regional Program Development Manager Stephanie Cox, the joint teams have already implemented significant changes to help the program reach new milestones.
Apple FCU executives have implemented several CFS add-on modules for the investment program including the CFS home banking integration (HBI) tool which incorporates brokerage assets into the online banking platform with single sign-on access, as well as self-directed online brokerage platform eVISION®, and financial planning tool Profiles Forecaster. All modules integrate into the CFS web-based account management system dataVISION®.
"CFS is known for its fully integrated technology systems, and we have especially embraced their robust HBI tool," said Dusek. "It's truly single sign-on and completely integrated into our home banking platform. Certainly add-on modules like HBI have been outstanding, and dataVISION's secure and FINRA-certified paperless environment impressed us, but it's the new levels of efficiency and client service CFS affords us that are immeasurable."
In addition to sophisticated technology options, credit union management listed CFS's sole focus on financial institutions as another key decision factor. Executives did due diligence on two other broker dealers before selecting CFS, and say they now expect the program to double in size. Dusek is actively recruiting more advisors.
"Apple FCU has long demonstrated their commitment to continually evolving to provide exceptional investment and wealth management services to their members. We will help them deliver on that commitment," said Valorie Seyfert, CFS President and CEO. "We are privileged to welcome Apple FCU as a new client and we look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship."
