Appliance Recycling Centers of America (ARCA) Kicks off Conserve & Save® Refrigerator and Freezer Recycling Program in Southern Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS, April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Appliance Recycling Centers of America, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCI) has been selected to provide recycling services for the Conserve & Save® Refrigerator and Freezer Recycling Program, servicing the Triad in southern Minnesota. The Triad consists of three southern Minnesota utilities: Austin Utilities, Owatonna Public Utilities and Rochester Public Utilities. The program, which has had an incredible response thus far, began on April 18, 2011.
Through this program, participating utility customers who turn in operating but energy inefficient secondary refrigerators and freezers will be eligible for a $35.00 incentive check for each qualifying appliance, with a maximum of two units per year. ARCA will perform the in-home collection of qualifying refrigerators and freezers and properly recycle the units.
