Application Security Veterans John Salmon and James Paul Join Cigital

DULLES, Va., Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cigital, Inc., the industry leader in software security solutions, announces the addition of John Salmon as Vice President, North America Sales, and James Paul, Managing Director of the Central Region. Salmon and Paul bring proven sales and business leadership to Cigital as the company aggressively expands its customer base and delivers software security solutions that meet the compliance needs across verticals such as retail and healthcare.

John Salmon will lead the North American Sales team for Cigital, applying his 25 years of business development knowledge and experience selling services and technologies. Salmon was most recently the vice president of Enterprise Solutions at Trustwave, where he was responsible for pre-sales, sales, account management/development, marketing and product management support of over 15 products. During his tenure, Salmon helped establish, build and expand annual corporate direct sales. Prior to Trustwave, Salmon was in business development leadership at ICONS and the Salinas Group. 

James Paul has a deep background in business development, professional services, operational management, and business integration. Paul also joins Cigital from Trustwave, where he most recently was the senior vice president of product management for compliance and risk. Paul's responsibilities included building and implementing compliance services for PCI, HIPAA, and ISO Risk Assessments. Prior to that role, Paul was the senior vice president of Trustwave's Global Professional Services group, managing a team of over 100 employees to deliver compliance and risk services to over 2,000 customers in 33 countries. Before Trustwave, Paul held positions with ReddShell and ICG Communications. As managing director of Cigital's Midwest Region, Paul is responsible for growing the Cigital presence for products and services.
