TUTZING, Germany, February 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- mediantis corp. will offer the PHONIX Art Award for Young Artists again this year. The award - which has already been allocated six times - is endowed with 20,000 Euros. Application deadline is April 30, 2011.
"With the PHONIX we try to promote genuine talented artists, who haven't had their breakthrough and are not established on the art market yet. We support the winner by purchasing art amounting to 20,000 Euros, through continuous exhibition of their work, press releases and long-term companionship. This large and lasting promotion makes this award so unique." says Richard von Rheinbaben, supervisory board chairman of mediantis corp.
"This award gives you the chance to keep a clear mind on the really important things - the artistic work and the time for it! During the last year I developed many new and large installations - cost and time intensive. Without the PHONIX it would have been much harder to create these works."
Ulrich Vogl, awardee of 2010
Artists from German-speaking countries or Germans, who are abroad, can apply for the award.
Permitted art works are paintings, sculptures and paper art. More information about the award and the conditions of participation can be obtained at http://www.mediantis.de or direct requests by e-mail from Mrs. Dr. Barbara Haubold, art trustee of mediantis corp. (email@example.com)
Since 2005 over 1700 artists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Argentina, China and Afghanistan, just to name a few, have applied for this award. This year mediantis corp. expects numerous entries again, which will make it difficult for the jury - consisting of Gabriele Quandt, Florian Koenigs and Christian Lethert - to elect a winner.
