Applied Seals North America Signs Korean Distributor, Adding to Global Network

NEWARK, Calif., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Applied Seals North America, Inc., a premier supplier of perfluoroelastomer sealing components, has expanded its worldwide network by signing Korean distributor Zeus Co., Ltd. to provide local sales and applications support. Applied Seals' o-rings and other sealing products are critical components used by customers in the semiconductor, flat panel display, solar and other ultraclean manufacturing industries.

This new partnership in Korea further expands Applied Seals' international market presence, following previously announced signings of distributors in Europe and Israel.

Zeus has 30 years of experience providing Korea's semiconductor industry with manufacturing systems such as cryopumps and vacuum-measurement equipment, which use sealing components. Among Zeus' customers throughout Korea are Samsung Electronics, Samsung LCD, Samsung Mobile Display, Samsung LED, Hynix Semiconductor, Dongbu Hi-Tek, Fairchild Semiconductor Korea, LG Display and several Korean original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Executive director D. J. Choi has been with Zeus since 1987, when he began his career in the semiconductor industry as a field service and sales engineer. He now leads the Vacuum Technology Division at Zeus. He also is a guest lecturer registered at Samsung, where he conducts several training courses on high-vacuum equipment.
