I am pleased to share with you that Miranda Creviston Motter will be joining the Ohio Association of Health Plans as our new President and CEO. We are extremely excited to have Miranda as the new leader of the Association. Her knowledge and expertise will help us accomplish our mission of providing quality and affordable healthcare to all citizens in the State of Ohio. Miranda will begin her new responsibilities with the Association on October 24, 2011.
Miranda comes to us with more than 16 years of experience in government affairs, regulated industries, insurance and government relations. She most recently served as an associate at Bricker & Ecker LLP. While at Bricker & Ecker LLP, Miranda represented state and national trade associates of life and property and casualty insurance companies, including the Association of Ohio Life Insurance Companies (AOLIC) and the American Insurance Associate (AIA), before the Ohio Department of Insurance, the Ohio General Assembly, and other executive agencies of state government. Miranda also served as AOLIC representative on the Ohio Department of Development's Office of Insurance and Financial Development Insurance Industry Advisory Board to Develop a strategic economic development plan for Ohio's insurance industry. She is a Member and Legislative Affairs Chair for the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
Miranda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History degree from Anderson University of Anderson, Indiana and her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude from Capital University Law School of Columbus, Ohio.
