Appointment Of Nicholas Westley, President - Global Corporate Services, DTZ

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DTZ, a UGL Company, has announced the appointment of Nicholas Westley as President – Global Corporate Services, effective October 8, 2012. Mr. Westley will oversee the Global Corporate Services (GCS) activities for DTZ worldwide. He will be based at the DTZ global headquarters in Los Angeles, reporting to Robert Shibuya, Group President, DTZ.

In announcing Westley's appointment, Shibuya said: "GCS is one of the cornerstones of DTZ as it is designed to meet the needs of companies seeking global or regional solutions to manage their real estate portfolios.  In this new role, Nick will position GCS for even greater success by enhancing our global delivery process and innovative service and technology offerings."  

Mr. Westley brings thought leadership and an unparalleled track record of understanding the needs of corporate clients, with more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience in development, transaction management, strategic planning, workplace strategy, and account operations. He joins DTZ from Johnson Controls (JCI), where he most recently led the firm's global real estate and project management services. Prior to JCI's acquisition of United Systems Integrators (USI) in 2005, he was USI's Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for the firm's merger and acquisition, service offering diversification and geographic expansion initiatives.

Mr. Westley spent his early career on the development side of the business with JMB/Urban Development Company in Los Angeles. He also spent two years as a real estate consultant for Warner Bros., helping them establish a market presence in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as completing multi-site consolidation projects for facilities in London, Madrid and throughout the US.

He graduated with honors from Cornell University with a BS degree in civil and environmental engineering and also holds an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Mr. Westley is an active member of CoreNet, the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, the U.S. Green Building Council, Young Presidents' Organization, Westcoast Sports Associates, the Cornell University Real Estate Advisory Group, and the Harvard Business School Association of Southern California.
