Appointment of Wayne Nablo to strengthen Sappi's strategic growth in the Speciality Business in North America

BRUSSELS, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sappi Fine Paper Europe has appointed Wayne Nablo as Sales Manager, Speciality Products, North America, to strengthen the company's specialities sales network.

Mr Nablo is returning to Sappi after ten years working with paper companies in the US including Fraser Papers, Wedlock Paper Converters and Gorham Paper and Tissue. This knowledge will be essential in his new role to develop a very important strategic market for Sappi. He will be responsible for all Alfeld Mill speciality paper sales into Canada and the United States of America.

He originally joined the company in 1986 and progressed through various sales management roles in printing, release and technical papers, culminating in his final role as Sales Director - America's for release papers from Sappi Westbrook Mill.

The appointment follows the €61m rebuild of PM2 at Sappi's Alfeld Mill in Germany. This will increase speciality packaging paper production by 135,000tpa and eventually 100% of Alfeld's mill production will be speciality papers.
