APTwater and Rochem Merge Their Companies

LONG BEACH, Calif., Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The combination of APTwater, Inc. and Rochem AG, unites two of the water industry's most advanced water technology companies to deliver reliable, clean water from some of the most challenging resources in the industry.

Rochem, based in Europe, deploys patented membrane modules into integrated treatment systems to clean water that would ruin ordinary membranes. The membranes deployed by Rochem are made by Sepro Membranes, Inc., a joint venture between Rochem AG and Sojitz Corporation of Japan. Sepro, also part of the merger, develops, innovates and manufactures membranes in Oceanside, CA. Rochem systems and Sepro membranes can be found treating water on ships, landfills, chemical plants and wastewater facilities worldwide.

APTwater, located in California, develops and deploys patented technology to destroy tough-to-treat contaminants that have rendered otherwise valuable water useless – contaminants such as pharmaceutical by-products, trace organics, nitrates and hexavalent chromium. APTwater systems can be found creating clean water from damaged groundwater, surface water and wastewater treatment plants.
