Archetypes.com Releases Innovative New Music Video ME
NEW YORK, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Archetypes.com, a new social site that allows users to identify their primary archetypes by taking a short quiz, and celebrates the language of archetypes through social, original content, and digital media, announced today the release of ME, a dynamic stop motion animation video named after the site's "Me" icon. The video introduces iD.ollogy, a unique brand that features artistic dolls with distinct Archetypes-based personalities, known as the Archetypes iDolls. A link to the video can be found here.
iD.ollogy is the brainchild of famed doll designer Andrew Yang and Cristina Carlino, founder of Archetypes.com. Yang's couture dolls received breakout recognition in 2010 at Anna Wintour's Fashion's Night Out charity event hosted at Barneys in New York City. In 2012, after becoming a fan of his work and Yang's largest collector, Carlino launched a partnership with Yang through Archetypes.
"Andrew's dolls were really characters waiting to come to life. As soon as I saw them I realized they were the perfect vehicle to introduce the Archetypes' brand to the world," said Carlino. "The Archetypes iDolls celebrate the unique personality traits we all have and it is our hope that they become synonymous with how people first remember learning about Archetypes—bringing the language of Archetypes to life through narrative, music, and fun."
Archetypes will be giving away a number of the limited edition dolls – Fiona, Izzy, JJ, and Rowdy – and a signed coffee table book titled, idollogy, that details the creative process in the making the ME video and the iD.ollogy brand. Archetypes' users can visit Facebook.com/archetypes or to idollogy.com to sign up for a chance to win. Just 25 dolls were created for each of the four video characters and all are fashioned in one-of-a-kind flourishes and luxurious outfits.
"The Archetypes iDolls embody the spirit of Archetypes and we anticipate that our community will respond strongly to them as well as to the ME video," said Tom Gallagher, Archetypes' Executive Chairman. "They will become cherished and valuable additions to anyone's collection. We look forward to sharing them with our engaged and excited audience," Gallagher said.
The ME video launches today on Archetypes.com and a link to the video can be found here.
