ArcLight Commits $1.0 Billion of Equity to Launch Anchor Point Transmission

Independent Transmission Company Built to Partner With Utilities to Accelerate Investment in Critical Grid Infrastructure

BOSTON, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ArcLight Capital Partners ("ArcLight") today announced a $1.0 billion equity commitment from its funds to launch Anchor Point Transmission, LLC ("Anchor Point" or "the Company"), an independent transmission company formed to address a critical challenge facing the U.S. power grid: rapid load growth from electrification, manufacturing, and AI compute is driving unprecedented need for transmission infrastructure investment. Anchor Point strives to partner with utilities to help enable, develop, and accelerate the high-voltage transmission infrastructure needed to support that growth.

ArcLight has appointed industry veterans Michael Deggendorf as Executive Chairman and Justin Campbell as President of Anchor Point, combined with a seasoned operating and development team to drive the platform's success.
