(Nasdaq: RDEA) today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of an aggregate of 2,500,000 shares of its common stock. In connection with this offering, Ardea plans to grant to the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 375,000 shares of its common stock to cover overallotments, if any. BofA Merrill Lynch and Jefferies & Company, Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
