TORONTO, May 5 /PRNewswire/ - Moneyville.ca, one of Canada's most-trusted websites devoted to plain-speaking personal finance information, is looking for the next Moneyville blogger!
Do you know how to take charge of your financial affairs and want to share that knowledge with others? Have you been on a financial journey or are planning a financial makeover and want to chronicle what you've learned? Or, maybe you just like money (whether it's spending or saving) and have a lot to say?
If you've answered yes to any of the above, and you are a clear and entertaining writer, then Moneyville wants you! The overall winner will have the opportunity to enter into an agreement to blog for Moneyville for up to 3 months and have their work appear in The Toronto Star's Moneyville section plus receive up to $4,000 (in weekly instalments). In addition, the other top 4 finalists will have their posts published on Moneyville.ca and in the Toronto Star's Moneyville section and will each receive $500.
How to Apply
Visit www.moneyville.ca/nextblogger to apply and to view the full contest rules and regulations. Give us your best financial tip, a 500-word (or less) sample blog post, and three ideas on topics about which you would write.
Deadline and other contest information
The contest is open from May 4, 2011 at 12:00p.m. EST and you have until 11.59 a.m. EST on June 1,2011 to submit your entry.
Five finalists will be selected based on the originality of their idea, accuracy and research, writing style, general relevance of the topic to the Moneyville.ca audience and in the case of certain selected entrants, their qualifications, background and/or experience related to personal finance.
Finalists' entries will be posted on the contest site where friends, family and fans can vote on submissions between June 8 and June 15, 2011 and the number of votes received will be considered in connection with selecting an overall winner.
The contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are the age of majority in their province of residence as of the contest entry date, except for employees, their immediate families and anyone living with any employee of Toronto Star Newspapers Limited or its corporate affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies. Limit of one entry per person.
