Arise Virtual Solutions Inc. Distributes Back to School Supplies to Miramar, Florida Schools

MIRAMAR, Fla., Aug. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Arise Virtual Solutions Inc., the award-winning leader in on-demand customer contact technology and business process outsourcing (BPO), recently donated more than $7,500 in back to school supplies for underserved children in the South Florida area.

The third annual Fill-A-Backpack Drive, organized by the Arise Community Action Team, increased its reach by 184% since it began in 2015. This year's effort produced 307 backpacks filled with school supplies, with additional loose supplies to be donated directly to the schools. Arise worked with three schools in Miramar, where the company is headquartered – Sea Castle Elementary, Sunshine Elementary, and Miramar Elementary. The initiative also contributed generously to the Broward Partnership for the Homeless and the Miami Children's Initiative.

The National Retail Federation estimates that back-to-school supplies may cost a family up to $443. Many low-income families cannot afford the necessary supplies to educate their children, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. The backpacks and supplies enabled South Florida students to return to school prepared.

The Community Action Team pulls Arise employees together to raise thousands of dollars for local, national, and international organizations serving a variety of critical needs in health and family wellness, disaster relief, and suicide prevention, among many others. The majority of Arise's employee base resides in the Broward and Miami Dade areas, and the activities of this team nurture their connection to the area in which they live and work.
