Armor Concepts Donates $10,000 Worth of EZ Armor Door Security Systems to Help Al Roker 'Lend a Hand' for NBC's 'Today' Show Charitable Giving Series

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- This morning, Nashville-based Armor Concepts proudly joined NBC "Today" show personality Al Roker's ninth annual "Lend A Hand" cross-country charity trip, via a $10,000 donation of its EZ Armor Door Security Systems.  During a surprise stop in Nashville, a large contribution of furniture and other home goods were given to Hands On Nashville (HON), a group founded in 1991 to help people transform the world around them by volunteering.

Nashville residents are still working to recover from devastating flooding, which occurred during the first week in May. The Cumberland River crested at a 70-year high – twelve feet above flood stage – resulting in the loss of lives, and more than $1.5 billion in property damage. Since flooding in this area is a rarity, few residents carried flood insurance; the disaster represented a life-changing event for many families.

Since the Nashville floods on May 2, 2010, HON has coordinated the response of more than 17,000 volunteers at over 925 project sites that have been identified around the city. EZ Armor Door Security Systems donated by Armor Concepts will be brought into a central distribution facility that is managed by HON, and then allocated to families based on need and individual circumstances.
