Arthur F. Anton joins Forest City Board of Directors

CLEVELAND, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Forest City Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: FCEA and FCEB) today announced that Arthur F. Anton, president and chief executive officer of Swagelok Company, has accepted an appointment to Forest City's board of directors, effective October 1.  Anton will stand for election at the company's next annual meeting of shareholders in June 2011.

Anton joined Swagelok as chief financial officer in 1998, was named executive vice president in 2000 and president and chief operating officer in 2001. He was named chief executive officer in 2003.

Previously, Anton was a partner at the accounting and consulting firm of Ernst & Young. During his 20 years with the firm, he consulted with companies in manufacturing, energy, service and other industries.

Anton received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and accounting from Brooklyn College, part of the City University of New York system, and a master's degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University. He is also a board member of University Hospitals of Cleveland, The Sherwin-Williams Company, Olympic Steel, and MAGNET.
