Artists & Fleas Announces West Coast Expansion, Opens New Market in Venice, CA
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Internationally recognized artist, vintage and designer market, Artists & Fleas announces the opening of a new bi-monthly space in Venice, California starting Saturday March 5th. With a flagship weekly location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and additional outposts in Chelsea Market, New York and Downtown Los Angeles, this will be an expansion of the market's west coast presence to target the west LA communities.
Artists & Fleas opened in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District two years ago this May and the decision to open the next location in Venice was a natural progression. Said Founder Amy Abrams, "Venice is a community that nurtures creativity, innovation and experimentation – traits that are core to what Artists & Fleas has always been about. With its changing retail scene, its legacy supporting the arts and creative vibe, Venice was very much the natural fit for where the market would live – a place where creativity and commerce co-exist and where art and entrepreneurship thrive."
The bi-monthly Saturday market will be located on shopping mecca Abbot Kinney Boulevard at the corner of Westminster Avenue utilizing the soccer field of Westminster Elementary School, and will be open from 11am to 5pm on the 1st and 4th Saturdays of every month. Artists & Fleas is committed to supporting the Westminster School and its Arts Education programs, as well as the community at large. Artists & Fleas will dedicate a space for aspiring Westminster student entrepreneurs and host regular maker workshops taught by Artists & Fleas' vendors.

Each market will feature over 100 vendors [including select food trucks from across LA] with new vendors added each event. Opening weekend will feature Tin Type Booth, Geometric Fossils, Hellhound Vintage, Haute Deity, Rx Candles, Trax ties and We Move Vintage among others.
