NEW YORK, March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TuneCore, a leading digital music distribution and music publishing administration company, is "bringing it to the streets" with its new "TuneCore Live" concert series at the iconic Bardot. The monthly showcases are giving the best and brightest TuneCore indie artists the opportunity for high profile exposure to fans and music industry insiders. TuneCore Live is just one of the many special events that TuneCore will be launching in 2015 to promote their artists.

Providing artists the means to get more music to more people in new and exciting ways is one of TuneCore's guiding principles, and the launch of TuneCore Live is another way TuneCore is bringing that experience to life. With support from primary brand sponsor Swisher Sweets, along with other partners, Swinghouse, Ultimate Ears and Mirrored Media, music lovers from the LA area packed the room at the first two events.

Dear Boy, who along with WATERBED, Knower, and a special guest DJ set by HOLYCHILD, played at the February 25 event, echoes the feeling of the artist when he says, "We truly had a great time playing Tunecore Live at Bardot the other night. There was such an insane energy in the room.  It was brilliant.  I also have to say, kudos to Tunecore for being an audio Cupid, setting us up with Knower, WATERBED & HOLYCHILD. We're all dating now and we've never been happier."

TuneCore Artists Hudson, Olivver The Kid and Nightmare Boy, plus DJ sets from LA's Konstantsurprises and Tron Stamos, took to the stage at the January 28 debut event.

The next date for TuneCore Live at Bardot takes place on March 31 and features artists: Alexander Cardinale, Sam Outlaw and George Byrne.

Extending the experience beyond the in-person TuneCore Live sessions and giving the performers even more exposure is an important component to this initiative. CraveOnline, TuneCore's media partner (whose full network has a 45 million monthly view reach), captures the live performances, artist interviews and photos, and makes them available following each live event on CraveOnline and the TuneCore Blog.

TuneCore Live heads down south in March to SXSW, where 1/3 of the artists performing have distributed their music with TuneCore. TuneCore will be hosting several showcase day parties, including TuneCore Live at Vulcan Gas Company.
