ASSA ABLOY Expands Offering for Behavioral Health Door Openings

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The ASSA ABLOY Door Group has launched a new advancement for behavioral health facilities.  The Patient Room Access Door, offered by Ceco Door and CURRIES is a workable solution that has aesthetic flexibility and meets required industry codes. This innovative solution has just passed a 45 minute fire test for the step through access inner door option. The fire test was conducted per NFPA 252, UL10B, UL10C and CAN4-S104.

The Patient Room Access Door is modeled to provide security and dependability for healthcare facilities, with a design that is modest enough for healing environments. Intended to give caretakers or authorized personnel access to a patient's room in case of an emergency and maintain the security needed for the facility. The main door has the functionality of a standard in swing patient room door. The inner door can open to the corridor giving authorized personnel quick access to the patient's room.
