Asset Management Expert Rhys Davies to Give Keynote and Facilitate Workshop at Meridium Conference 2012

Mr. Davies, Managing Director at Smart Asset Management Solutions Limited, is currently chairman of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Project Committee PC251 Asset Management, an international and multi-sector committee working on developing a suite of three international standards for asset management. Rhys leads a team of 24 participating countries, 12 observing countries and liaisons with 12 additional international standards-writing committees with the goal of delivering the ISO55000 series of standards over a three-year program.

At Meridium Conference 2012, Mr. Davies will provide a keynote presentation on his work with ISO during the session "Developing International Standards in Asset Management."   As the global role of international standards in best practice asset management becomes increasingly important, this presentation will help delegates understand how compliance impacts asset managers in a variety of sectors around the world, including in North America. 

Mr. Davies also will also present a 3-hour workshop "Game Changers: Asset Management, PAS 55 and ISO55000" which will discuss how management systems such as PAS 55 and the forthcoming ISO5500x series can help focus the minds of both senior management and maintainers on critical issues. The workshop will outline how a variety of industries around the world are adopting PAS 55 which is now growing into the defacto approach to asset management. To conclude, Mr. Davies will illuminate how PAS 55 is being used as the basis of future ISO International Standards for Asset Management (the ISO5500x series) and show attendees how they can engage in the process to ensure they remain at the forefront of asset management developments as they occur.
