LONDON, July 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Investigation by consumer group ''Which?'' found that Washing Machine manufacturers may actually be designing their machines in a way that repairs are so costly, they fall on par with the cost of replacement or even outdo the cost of replacing a machine altogether.

According to Which? a range of Washing Machine manufacturers (Bosch, Beko, Indesit, Hotpoint, Indesit, AEG and Zanussi ) now only design machines with sealed drums – meaning repairers cannot access vital parts should they fail, specifically the drum bearings.
One of the top 5 most common problems consumers experience is the worn bearings – and this is common knowledge amongst Insurers, as a high proportion of our claims, almost 60%, are due to this.
