Astrata Acquires Omnitracs Europe from Qualcomm

SINGAPORE and WASHINGTON, January 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Astrata Group Private Limited ("Astrata") today announced that an affiliate has acquired Omnitracs Europe Holdings B.V., formerly known as Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe Holdings B.V. ("Omnitracs Europe").  The transaction, details of which were not disclosed, was completed as of the date of announcement.

Omnitracs Europe, together with Omnitracs LLC, which was sold in a separate transaction earlier this year, was Qualcomm Incorporated's first business unit and a pioneer in the provision of commercial vehicle telematics to the trucking industry. Throughout its 25-year history, Omnitracs Europe has provided integrated wireless systems and services to major transportation and logistics companies around the world.
