ATA CEO Bill Graves To Present Washington Update at Breakbulk Americas
NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 6, 2103 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hon. Bill Graves, president and chief executive of American Trucking Association, is scheduled to deliver an update on prominent regulatory issues impacting the U.S. trucking industry during an executive presentation at the 23rd Annual Breakbulk Americas Conference & Exhibition Sept. 24-26 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
Under Graves' leadership, ATA has been a fierce advocate for improving U.S. infrastructure through the use of existing user fees, including calling for higher fuel taxes. ATA also has spearheaded effort to combat the use of tolling and public-private partnerships.
In January 2003, Graves completed his second term as governor of Kansas, capping 22 years of service to the state. He won reelection in 1998 by the largest margin in state history. Graves has been involved in the trucking industry his entire life. For almost 70 years, members of his family have operated fleets including Graves Truck Line.
