Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. Announces Bill May As EVP Of Commercial & Business Development Of South Texas

PHILADELPHIA, July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APL) ("APL", "Atlas Pipeline", or the "Partnership") announces today the appointment of Bill May as Executive Vice President of APL's commercial and business development activities in South Texas.  Mr. May will be responsible for all commercial and business development activities in South Texas, including the SouthTX gathering and processing system and the Partnership expects Mr. May will build and strengthen business development and commercial activities that will grow APL beyond the scope of our current operations.

Mr. May comes to Atlas Pipeline after a distinguished career at CenterPoint Energy Field Services, LLC that spanned 34 years.  Most recently he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.  In this role he was responsible for all commercial and business development activities as well as all administrative, volume management and customer solutions functions for Field Services.  Additionally, Mr. May has held senior positions in the marketing of the company's gas liquids and condensate, as well as time in the chemicals division under a predecessor company.  Mr. May moved to CenterPoint Energy Field Services, LLC upon its creation in 1993, and was responsible for all marketing and business development activities.  From 1993 to present, he has held various management and executive positions for CenterPoint Energy Field Services, LLC.

Mr. May received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of various natural gas and petroleum organizations.
