WASHINGTON, July 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AtSite, Inc., a provider of Building Performance Solutions, announced that it recently completed a Series A round of funding to fuel strategic growth for new technology partnerships, expanded geographic markets and key talent acquisition.
AtSite helps clients develop, optimize and maintain high-performing buildings. With two decades of expertise, AtSite offers tailored solutions for building owners and operators using advances in smart building technologies, energy, environmental sustainability, and building management. The company is recognized for its innovative, integrated approach to building performance, and its ability to deliver lower costs with higher building quality, and value across a number of industries.
AtSite attracted the interest of a number of investment firms and ultimately completed the Series A round with a private group who shared a deep understanding of the mission, the industry, and the value proposition. "AtSite is uniquely positioned for growth in a fragmented industry where few companies deliver cohesive solutions for their clients," investors stated. "AtSite is attractive for a simple reason – it is delivering measurable value by integrating innovative technology, industry partners and in-house talent that leverage customers' existing people and systems."
The U.S. Green Building Council forecasts the market for green building-related services to increase from $90 billion to $173.5 billion by 2015. Moreover, a recent study by Booz Allen Hamilton, estimates that green construction contributed to 2.4 million jobs between 2000 and 2008. By 2013 it is predicted that green construction will support over 7.9 million jobs.
"We have had several recent years of considerable growth and continue to enjoy great long-term relationships with a growing list of excellent clients," said Davor Kapelina, President and CEO of AtSite. "Our growth is a direct result of having a highly talented pool of smart people and industry partners that are not only innovative, but also committed to surpassing the objectives of our clients."
Select current AtSite clients include Adventist HealthCare, Choice Hotels, Monday Properties, Sidwell Friends School and Passion Food restaurants. Recent company awards and recognition include the U.S. Green Building Council's 2011 Member of the Year (NCR); the 2011 Award of Excellence, Best Sustainable Design Renovation/Retrofit, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); and the 2012 EcoLeadership Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence.
