DALLAS, April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today named Amdocs Limited (NASDAQ: DOX) and Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR) as two additional vendors that will help AT&T toward the vision of the User-Defined Network Cloud.
First announced on February 24, the User-Defined Network Cloud will place customers at the center of the network with a modern, cloud-based architecture, a global first at this scale. This initiative builds on AT&T's best-in-class network status and is expected to accelerate time-to-market with technologically advanced products and services.
"This is an ambitious program that allows us to tap into the latest technologies to enhance the network infrastructure," said Tim Harden, president, AT&T Supply Chain. "We're taking another step toward building the faster, simpler and more flexible network of the future that provides increased global connectivity with easily scalable and faster content delivery."
AT&T is not revising its previously announced capital expenditure as a result of this announcement. However, in the next five years, AT&T expects the User-Defined Network Cloud program to reflect a downward bias toward capital spending.
