Austin Home Builder Ash Creek Homes Promotes 32-Year-Old Jenna Edge to President
AUSTIN, Texas, May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ash Creek Homes, an Austin-based developer and home builder, announced today that Jenna Edge has been promoted to President of the company. Edge, an award-winning Project Manager, replaces the company founder, Scott Morledge, who has been President and CEO of Ash Creek Homes for the past 37 years.
Edge's promotion comes at an especially exciting time to be a home builder in Austin, because for the third year in a row, Austin ranked as the #1 City to Live In according to US News & World Report.
"I feel very lucky to have this opportunity in a beloved city like Austin," says Edge, a Houston native. "Ash Creek Homes has literally helped shape Austin and the surrounding hill country for the past 37 years. We've built homes for hundreds of families here -- it's an honor to be part of the past, present and future growth."
In a predominantly male industry, Edge brings not only her home building and development knowledge, but her women-centric view of home design and development to Ash Creek Homes.
"When it comes to architecture, we research details for the exterior design so that every community has an authentic and custom feel," says Edge. "We do the same thing with floor plans, making sure every square inch flows properly and maximizes space."
With a vision firmly in place, she is forging ahead. While she has a BA in Marketing from Texas State University, real estate and residential development has always been her passion. Plus, she's outdoorsy and loves nature, so it's the perfect combination.
"Being outside is my happy place," says Edge. "I love exploring tracts of land for new communities. I just throw on a pair of boots and I'm ready to roll," Edge laughs. "But that's what we do! We spend time analyzing every tree and the topography and we go out of our way to preserve the natural features of a piece of land."
Ash Creek Homes is currently building luxury homes in Serene Hills (located 30 miles west of downtown Austin) and in Honey Creek (located across from Lake Travis High School). Ash Creek Homes has plans for a new community in 2020, Vista Parke. Vista Parke will be located in the Four Points area (north Austin) and will feature low-maintenance townhomes.
