Authenticom Streamlines Operational Process, Merges DealerVault into Authenticom
Combined into one company, Authenticom, DealerVault service more than 15,000 dealerships across the country
LA CROSSE, Wis., Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Authenticom, LLC, today announced it has merged its Data Specialty Group, LLC, the holding company for its DealerVault service, into Authenticom, creating one company serving more than 15,000 dealerships across the country.
The move will help Authenticom streamline its operations and processes, which ultimately will allow the company to serve its customers more efficiently.
"Anything that's good for our dealer customers is good for our company in the long-run," said Authenticom CEO Steve Cottrell. "DealerVault will remain a prominent brand within the Authenticom family, but the administrative efficiencies created by operating as one company will significantly simplify our operations."
Authenticom has spent the past decade building an array of data management Solutions for marketing agencies, CRM systems, business development centers, and third-party service providers in the automotive industry. In 2013, Authenticom created Dealer Specialty Group, LLC, the parent company for DealerVault, the first-ever cloud-based system allowing automotive retailers control over how their customer data is stored and used. In just three years, DealerVault has nearly 5,600 dealer customers and more than 450 vendor partners.
"DealerVault's mission hasn't changed," Cottrell said. "We're committed to helping our dealer customers with a cost-effective, transparent data security service and ensuring data syndication in the most secure cloud environment available today. Dealers are sitting on an incredibly valuable asset – the customer data that they've worked so hard to acquire. We want to make sure they have visibility into how that data is used."
Ownership of automotive customer data continues to be a hot-button issue in the industry. The "Dealership Data Goldmine" as it is often called, is projected to reach as high as $2 billion in just two years. That's more than $100,000 per franchised dealer annually in additional costs. Major DMS providers' additional data use fees support their own revenue growth, but drive up costs for dealers and their third-party vendors.
DealerVault offers a market driven approach that allows automotive retailers to control their own data and keep their costs down. The company offers standardized pricing of $25 per month for a single nightly data feed or $50 per month for two or more nightly data feeds.
DealerVault has invested heavily in data security by leveraging Microsoft's most secure cloud-based solution, Azure. In addition, DealerVault's easy-to-use web platform allows its customers to quickly and easily view and modify current data feeds, check the status of its ongoing vendor projects, disable access when needed and manage multiple stores with the simple click of a button.
