An advocate for dog rescue groups, the focus of the magazine is animal shelters, dog rescue and transport groups, human-interest stories on lifestyles of dogs and their owners, and vintage dog art.
The premier issue features SPCA International's Operation Baghdad Pups Program, Willow Rescue in the Netherlands, Animal Action Rescue Atlanta, StubbyDog Pit Bull Rescue, San Diego's Dog Beach, Christmas Victorian Dog Postcards, and other various dog stories and photographs.
A quarterly e-zine, Barth plans to have a contest each issue with the prize being a check to the winner's favorite animal shelter. This issue's contest is "Love My Dog" photos.
