WELLESLEY, Mass., April 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Language and Learning Centers of America (LLCA) in Wellesley, MA, announced a name change to the Autism Therapy Works (ATW) to better represent the services it provides to the autism community and to make it easier for prospective clients to find its services online at http://www.autismtherapyworks.com.

Demand for autism therapy services in the Greater Boston area is high, and LLCA decided that its name, while accurately representing the communication and language support provided by its clinical staff, did not make it clear who would benefit the most from these services. This lack of clarity made it difficult for families to find the services provided by the clinic. The marketing and management staff recognized an immediate need to change the company's name and used data and analytics to select the new name: Autism Therapy Works.
The name change became official on March 28, 2016, and all of the company's digital materials and social media profiles have been switched to the new branding. Since the change, ATW has seen an improved discovery rate through online search engines and a significant improvement in prospective clients fitting their services.
Autism Therapy Works' (ATW) Mission
The mission of ATW is to enhance communication, support behavior, and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. The clinic offers a unique and innovative instructional approach based on the principles of the Visual Immersion System™ (VIS™), which was developed in the Autism Language Program at Boston Children's Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Howard Shane, ATW's chief clinical consultant. ATW provides communication and language support, applied behavior analysis services (ABA), and occupational therapy services.
ATW recognizes that more can be done to support the autism community. Children with autism have difficulty experiencing common activities that come easily to most kids, such as going to the movies or to the doctor's office. ATW hosts regular workshops and events to help families manage their children's behavior during these activities. ATW has recently offered autism-friendly haircuts and a workshop for preparing older students for their prom or a big dance. ATW is seeking strategic partnerships with foundations and organizations to offer these events to a larger audience.
